It’s only 12 days until Christmas, and I’ve been busier than ever! This time of the year is always the most hectic due to last minute assignments my studio is given by our business partners. However, it went a lot smoother than I thought it would, and as a result I will be able to go home early this year. Like I said in my last update, I will be going home to Japan for the holidays and hopefully have the chance to capture the beauty of the Japanese countryside, etc. I will be leaving on the 17th which is a Monday, and I’ll probably come back to the UK sometime early into the new year. Until then, keep an eye out for my photography updates from Japan.
That said, this is my newest set of photographs inspired by the mythical folklore of the mermaid. I have been wanting to do something with this theme in mind for quite some time, and I’m thrilled to have had the time to do so. The photos combine two elements: post-processing and hand drawn art with the aid of a tablet PC. In saying that, the entire project took three days to finalise even with a few set backs here and there.
My thoughts on the end result? Overjoyed!

I’ve got something with mermaids. Mythology is always fun, and I wrote a paper on sirens in high school. They aren’t actually mermaids, but often confused with them, so I came across a lot of mermaid stuff
. Great pictures as ever!
Thank you very much!
